Frequently Asked Questions

How much should I spend on a security system?

Firstly, you need to identify the specific risks to your business or property (with our help) and then how to satisfactorily manage those risks, whether that be by using an intruder detection, access control, smoke detection, closed circuit television or other systems. Also, you may use physical barriers, manpower or other means to manage and/or minimise the risk potential. When this is done we can provide a quotation to provide the required services.

What type of detectors should I use?

The type of detector should match the environment it is used in. There are dozens of types of detectors available that are suitable for different conditions from homes and small offices/shops to large factories and warehouses.

What type of security system should I use?

Like detectors there are many alarm panels available. The most important factor in choosing your preferred system is to allow for any future requirements you may have in expanding the system for more detectors or adding on features such as access control. You will also need to consider other features such as the amount of users that can be installed on the system or how many areas the system can control.

I want to have my alarm system monitored, do I have to enter into a long term contract?

No, unlike some security providers who may want you to sign a 3 or even a 5 year contract for monitoring we do not. Ask the question of any potential provider if they require a long term contract. If we perform you will stay with us, if we do not match up - you will move on.

What type of cameras should I use?

The right camera for you should be selected to meet the required purpose. A standard resolution monochrome camera for general purpose surveillance, a high resolution day/night camera to cater for changing light conditions or a discreet mini dome camera for office and retail areas are just a few of the choices available.

What areas do you service?

SE Security provides our services across Australia. So whether you have just one shop or a national chain of outlets we can provide the service for all your security requirements.
